Melbourne, VICTORIA - On the 17-18 February, 2001 The First Ever CYMnet Conference took place in Australia. Participants from all ages (from older Molodshe Yunatstvo to Senyory), learnt a variety of new skills, from HTML and manipulating graphics to Ukrainianising their personal computers and how to use the Internet and computer as a tool for teaching in various Ukrainian Organisations.

The aim of the conference was to familiarise all who attended with computers and the Internet and to show that everything is now being computerised and digitalised. The conference was a step forward to show that PC's and the Internet are a powerful tool, and the Ukrainian community should use it as a tool rather than not use it at all.

All participants who attended enjoyed the presentations and hands on experience which they were able to benefit from.
