Our Annual Maskarada - October 29, 2001
Every year during the Halloween season we celebrate with a masquerade party for the yunatstvo.
This year the party took place on Monday, October 29th. Everyone arrived in his or her costumes and we
ate pizza.
Then we went from table to table, each set up with various activities. There was
spin art, sand art, sandy candy, tattoos, and finding treasure (various toys) which were hidden in brains (cold spaghetti).
For dessert, there were “Dirt with worms” (which was pudding with gummy worms), you could decorate your
own cupcake, as well as popcorn and pretzels.
We played many games afterward and right before we
went home, each child was given a roll of toilet paper each to wrap someone as the ‘mummy’. As we were
leaving, each child received a “treasure rock” (you break the rock in order to get the treasure). We all had a
lot of fun and we thank all the parents who contributed. Click here to see
