On Sunday, November 6 2005, members of the Ukrainian and American communities gathered at the church hall
at St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church to take part in a Bone Marrow Typing and Blood Drive.
Those who were tested were entered into the National Marrow Donor Program’s Registry of volunteer marrow donors.
Ideally, someone who came that day could be a life-saving match for one of the many thousands of people awaiting
a bone marrow transplant. The Community Blood Services' blood-mobile was also available for anyone who wished to donate
the gift of life - blood, especially needed at holiday time.
If you were not able to take part in this event but wish to be tested, or wish to provide a tax-deductible donation,
please contact The HLA Registry, Community Blood Services at www.communitybloodservices.org.
You may be the missing piece that can save a life.
