"HARTUJSH"!
"Bulava" Activities:
"Apel" with special ceremonies to celebrate being awarded the "Perechodovyj Prapor" - Honorary flag awarded by CYM Headquarters on Saturday, December 7 at 2:00 pm in uniform. Apel will be followed by a group picture and pizza party.
TRADITIONAL "ANDRIJIVSKYJ VECHIR" for "starshe yunatstvo" - December 7 at 6:30 pm.
CHRISTMAS BREAK FOR "ROYI" ACTIVITIES begins Saturday, December 21. Activities resume Saturday, January 25, 2003.
WINTER CAMP IN BARABOO WISCONSIN for "starshe yunatstvo" - December 26 thru December 30.
CAROLING - Tuesday, January 7 and Sunday, January 12. Counselors will inform about the meeting times.
"APEL-KRUTY" - will be on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at the end of classes in Ukrainian School. Children should attend in uniforms. An "APEL" will follow in the "Oseredok".
ST. NICHOLAS meets with all good children on Saturday, December 14 at 3:00 pm in the main hall. Angels will be operating the office from 9:00 a.m. that day. Simultaneoously with this event, "Bulava" will be collecting children's winter hats and gloves, as well as small stuffed animals, for orphans in Ukraine. The items collected will be delivered thru the "Aid to Ukrainians" chapter of the CYM Headquarters. We ask that parents discuss with their children the importance of remembering those less fortunate, particularly when they themselves are so blessed. Children will be working on Christmas ornaments from 1:30 p.m., while all parents are invited for a Holiday social on the 3rd floor.
OUR TRADITIONAL "MALANKA AND DEBUTANTE BALL" will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, Cityfront Center, Chicaago Ballroom aat 301 E. North Water, Chicaago IL. Invitations will be mailed shortly. To reserve tables, Please contact Lori Ann Wruskyj at 847 253-8921.
"WINTER WONDERFEST AT NAVY PIER" -our vocal ensemble "Vinok" and dance groups will be performing together with the dance school of the Palatine branch and the Jazz Band on Sunday, December 15, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. This year again, two Christmas trees decorated by our youth and the Alla HOrska Branch of WADFFU will be displayed.
SPORTS- Beginning Monday, December 2 aand every Monday thereafter, soccer sessions for boys and girls from ages 5 and 8 will be connducted. These sessions will be conducted by "Druzhi" Andrij Kosacz and Yaro Dachniwsky. All interested participants should come on Monday, December 2 at 6p.m.
BULAVA asks that ayone who has CYM uniforms outgrown by your children, to turn them to pod. Marijka Pawlos.
CHOIR PRACTICES continue on Mondays at 7 p.m. New members are welcome.
