The Board of the Mykola Pavlushkov Branch extends its sincere congratulations to all members who graduated from preschool, kindergarten, 8th grade, high school and college as well as those who completed “Matura” in Ukrainian School. May you always meet with success in your endeavors!
THE ANNUAL RECITAL OF OUR MYKOLA PAVLUSHKOV “OSEREDOK” FEATURING THE UKRAINIAN SCHOOL OF DANCE AND THE “VINOK” VOCAL ENSEMBLE will take place on Saturday, June 2,2001 at 2:30 p.m. As in the previous year the location for our recital is - Northside College Preparatory School at 5501 N. Kedzie (Kedzie and Bryn Mawr). A separate letter with additional information has been sent to the parents of all participants.
The “druzhynnyky” of our Branch, together with the Ukrainian American Veterans, Branch 32, invite everyone to meet Ms. Maria Savchyn-Pyskir, author of the book, A Thousand Roads, her memoirs in the underground OUN-UPA (1939-1954). This event will take place on Sunday, June 10, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. in our SUM hall. Her book will be available for purchase. In addition, the Palatine Branch is also cosponsoring the same event with the UAV on Saturday, June 9, at 6:00 p.m. at the Palatine Branch location.
OUR ANNUAL SUM DAY PICNIC will take place on Sunday, June 17, 2001 at the SUM/ODFFU premises in Palatine, IL. All members are to meet dressed in uniform at 9:45 a.m. Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 a.m. The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. In addition to the program, sports and game activities there will be a lottery. Thus, we are asking that you purchase the enclosed lottery book at a cost of $20. It may be returned to the Oseredok prior to the event or directly at the event.

Registrations and full payments received after the deadlines will incur an additional fee of $50 for each child for each camp.
OUR CAMP SITE ‘OSELIA’ IN BARABOO is a great place for vacation and relaxation. We invite everyone to take advantage of the breathtaking scenery, fresh air, delicious and fresh food as well as all the comforts one might need. There are still a few motel rooms available from
June 24 thru June 30 and August 4 thru Labor Day Weekend. Please call Irene Wruskyj at the Oseredok Tuesday evenings to make reservations.
THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF OUR CAMP FACILITIES, “OSELIA”, IN BARABOO, WISCONSIN will take place over Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 1 thru Sept. 3. The ceremonial part of the program will take place on Sunday of that weekend. A bus will be available for travel to and from Baraboo on that day. Details of all the festivities will follow shortly in a separate mailing. In conjunction with this celebration, our choir will be issuing a CD of camp songs.
DEBUTANTES OF 2002! All young ladies who will be 16 years of age and juniors in high school in the 2001/2002 school year should report their wish to participate in the debut at our “Oseredok’s Malanka” in January 2002. Please contact pod. Lilia Zaparaniuk. A meeting of debutantes and parents will take place after summer vacation.
