Wasyl Bilas was born on September 17, 1911 in Truskavets Ukraine. He was a Ukrainian revolutionary hero who had a deep love for his country and yearned to free it. Bilas was a member of the Ukrainian Military Organization and a member of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. On December 23, 1932 he was hanged by the Polish court for carrying out an order by the Organization to rob a Polish post office of money.
