Sumivti Commemorate Kruty
On Sunday 1st February sumivti in Bradford and the local Ukrainian community held a commemoration in honour of the 300 sudents who died at the Battle of Kruty on 29th January 1918, whilst defending the honour of their country. The sumivti acted out a play based on the events at Kruty, punctuated with insurgent songs. The commemoration was closed with a speech by the holova of CYM in Bradford and those present sang the Ukrainian National Anthem.
