Successful Ski Season for Yunachka from Goshen, New York
Year after year during Zlet, Tania Prymak, a ten-year-old yunachka
from Goshen Oseredok, always seems to win several medals in the
various track and field events. This year, Tania's biggest accomplishment
is not at running or jumping, but skiing. Tania trains and competes
for the Hidden Valley Ski Racing Team out of Vernon, New Jersey.
She is in the category of J5 skiers, in the United Stated Ski Association
(USSA). In addition to her team affiliation, Tania also skis on
an individual basis in the NASTAR racing association. During the
Belleayre Cup race at Belleayre Mountain, Tania's ski run qualified
her for the nationals (in her age group 9-10). On March 27-30,
2003, the nationals took place in Park City Mountain Resort, Utah.
After two days of competition, Tania won second place and was awarded
a silver medal. Tania will continue her training next winter season
with the Hidden Valley Club and race in the J4 division.
