22 January 1997
January 22nd was celebrated as the traditional Ukrainian
Independence Day up until Ukraine regained her independece once again
on 24 August 1991. However, we still remember this date in 1918 and
1919 when Ukraine proudly proclaimed herself sovereign and independent!
