Summer is drawing to a close. August is an exciting month for us.....
10th ANNIVERSARY OF UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS
Our branch will participate in the following:
Friday, August 24, noon, Daley Plaza - representatives of dance groups at flag raising ceremony.
Saturday, August 25, during the day, Smith Park - soccer teams will compete for traveling trophy
Saturday, August 25, 7:00 p.m., North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie - "Ukraina", "Vinok" vocal ensemble and choir will perform in the jubilee concert
Sunday, August 26, 12:15 p.m., starting at St. Volodymyr Church on Cortez and Oakley - members in uniform will participate in procession to Sts. Volodymyr & Olha square for rally and dedication of anniversary plaque

DEBUTANTES OF 2002! Last call! All young ladies who will be 16 years of age and juniors in high school in the 2001/2002 school year should report their wish to participate in the debut at our “Oseredok’s Malanka” on January 12, 2002. Please contact pod. Lilia Zaparaniuk. A meeting of debutantes and parents will take place after summer vacation.

UKRAINIAN NIGHT AT SOLDIER FIELD - Our vocal ensemble "Vinok" will kick off the Chicago Fire vs. Columbus Crew soccer game with the National Anthem on Wednesday, August 29, at 7:30 p.m.
UKRAINIAN DAYS HOSTED BY UKRAINIAN CONGRESS COMMITTEE will once againn take place the weekend after Laabor Day, September 9 and September 10 at Smith Park. See our dance groups perform!
