On Sunday, September 16, 2001, we began the year by participating in the Divine Liturgy at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church. Afterwards, members participated at Apel in SUM. In addition to roll call and announcements for the year ahead, there was a ceremony in rememberance of the victims and their families of the September 11 tragedy. Rev. Mendyuk led the prayer, and all who were present placed a black ribbon upon a wreath which now hangs in the entrance way of the "domivka".
