…..Oselia Baraboo Administration led by Vasyl Abramiuk, ladies organized by Jaroslava Abramiuk, Sports Coordinator Marion Kolody and Paul Kulas for another successful Soccer Tournament held on August 12 - 13.
WALK-A-THON 2000 will take place during Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 2, 3, and 4th in Baraboo. All details were sent in our newsletter dated July 21.
As a reminder:
- The actual walk will be from 1:00 to 4:00n p.m. on Saturday. It will be followed in the evening by a barbecue and dance (Band - "Javysche")
- Participants under 14 years of age that will take part in the event and also be part of the camp should inform Mary Krutiak. ($20 which includes food)
Children under 18 years of age cannot be on the Oselia without the supervision of an adult.
- All participants under age 18 must submit a signed parental consent for at registration.
- Pledge sheets or additional ones may be obtained. Call Paul Lewitskyj at (630) 653-3923.
- For those who are unable to participate, pledges and donations may be turned in to the financial officer prior to the event.
ONCE AGAIN, WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PARTICIPATE! ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TOWARD THE RENOVATION OF THE BARN!
OUR BRANCH ACTIVITIES will begin with Divine Liturgy on Sunday, September 17, 2000 at Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Parish at 11:30 a.m. (everyone meets in uniform at the entrance at 11:15 a.m.) After the celebration, all members will attend an "APEL" and have a snack at our Oseredok building. Information regarding activities through the year will be give.
DEBUTANTES OF 2001! All young ladies who will be 16 years of age and juniors in high school in the 2000/2001 school year should report their wish to participate in the debut at our "Oseredok's Malanka" in January 2001. Please contact podruha Lilia Zaparaniuk. A meeting of debutantes and their parents will take place on Saturday, September 30 at 3:30 p.m. in SUM.
CHOIR PRACTICE takes place Monday evenings at 7:00pm. All ages are invited to join!
BAND PRACTICE will begin on Saturday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. All previous and newly interested members are invited to join!
Registration for THE SCHOOL OF UKRAINIAN DANCE (for all groups) for the 2000/2001 school year will take place on Saturday, September 16, at 12:00 noon. A separate newsletter will be mailed shortly.
We will be taking part in the "Day of Remembrance" of the Ukrainian Famine victims on September 24. All members should meet in uniform at 12:45 p.m. outside of St. Andrew's Church in Bloomingdale.
