The competition started at 3.00 pm. This year I took part in the competition as a member of the adult ladies choir and was quite nervous before out performance.

The competition proved interesting and with some very high quality performances. The judges were W. Szlachetko, R. Stus, M. Ferenc, Y. Kanuika and M. Kopczyk.


Manchester won 9 first places and 1 second.

The senior girls quartet won 2nd place.
The sumenyata dance group were enchanting in the concert after the competition.

This was not the end of a good day as we had a dance to come. "Chorna Rozha" or "Black Rose", a new formed band of CYM members from the North West Region gave an evening of excellent musical entertainment. Everyone had a good time exchanging comiserations and congratulations for the competition results and went home content with high expectations for the National Competition in Tarasivka in just three weeks.
