On March 8, 2002 the National Executive (Canada) met at the Ukrainian Black Sea Hall in St. Catharines, Ontario to discuss las minute details of the weekedn Plenum and Leadership courses.

Delegates from Toronto, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Welland and St. Catharines were present as were youth delegates taking part in the leadership courses.

Halyna Holovka, the National President of the Ukrainian Youth Association Canada opened the evening session with a moment of silence in memory of Natalie Shukevych, the wife of General Taras Chyprenka, and in memory of the National President of the Ukrainian Canadian Women's League, Myroslava Stelmach.

The agenda for the weekend sessions was accepted and reports from the Naional Executive were read. After some discussion the session was adjourned until Saturday morning.

Saturday, March 9, 2002

Working sessions on Saturday included Leadership (youth), Organization, Financial and Teaching. Numerous items were discussed and passed.

Saturday evening the host oseredok St. Catharines, sponsored a banquet and dance. The guest speaker was the national president Halyna Holovka. A short concert program followed the dinner which included songs performed by the local oseredok and folk dancing by the dance group "Dunai".

Sunday, March 10, 2002

Early Sunday morning all the delegates attended mass and panahyda at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church. Rev. and Chaplain Bohdan Choly and Deacon John Kit were the celebrants. After lunch at the Ukrainian Black Sea Hall, all the delegates gathered for a final session. The Plenum was closed with the singing of the Ukrainian National Anthem.
