Easter is near!
The day before Palm Sunday, CYM and Plast got together for Easter preparations.
At Assumption Parish Hall, children and parents alike, demonstrated their creativity in writing pysanky.
So many designs to choose from.
For some, like Marusia and Maxim, this was their very first pysanka..
For others like Mark and Michael, this was not their first year at this.
For some, like Nicholas, some assistance was needed from podruha Nataliya.
Podruha Marusia was "chief of the dyes".
The best part was seeing if the pysanky turned out as planned. For Oliya and Roxolana……success!
At the same time, podruha Christine was "Chef of the bakery".
Under her able hands, and with help from seasoned bakers, the children made their own pasky.
The children learned some "secrets" to baking paska.
………am I not a true baker?
Unfortunately, the girls had to practice singing hahilky in the hallway, so as not to disturb the other activities.
Podruha Lesia helped them out with lots of well deserved praise.
Later, the girls were able to practice hahilky and khorovody together.
Now I have something to put into my Easter basket!
