CYM Members Honor Famine Victim

London, UK - Through the efforts of the Embassy of Ukraine in Great Britain along the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain commemoration services were held Sunday, 28 November 1999 to honor the memory of the victims of the artificial famine in Ukraine (1932-33). A requiem service was by both Catholic and Orthodox clergy at the famine memorial on the grounds of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in London. Present were Prof. Volodymyr Vasylenko, Ukrainian Ambassador to Great Britain representatives of numerous community organizations. Local CYM member organized the honor guard for the event.
