Dear Friends!

As we bear witness to the terrible events in the United States with great sadness, the World Executive of the Ukrainian Youth Association extends its deepest sympathies to the American nation and to the Ukrainian community in America, where the recent series of terrorist acts have resulted in great loss of human life, as well as tremendous destruction.

We condemn terrorism of any kind against peaceful and defenseless people, regardless of the ideals or justifications that its creators hide behind. The tragic acts of 11 September 2001 in the United States of America are unprecedented in their horror and were an attack on freedom and democracy, as well as Christian and human moral values.

We have faith that with God's help our leaders will make judicious decisions, and we once again offer our condolences and our solidarity in the battle against subsequent acts of such evil.
