2010 Summer Camps
at the Ellenville Oselia

A few notable changes this year:

  • New Camp – Starsho-unatskyj Camp for starshe unatstvo ages 13 – 17 will take place after Vyshkil, July 11 to July 17.
  • Mystetskyj (Arts) Camp – has a new name Camp of Kultura and Mystetsvo.
  • Discount applies when the child is registered and paid in full by June 1, 2010.
  • Additional discount applies to each child that attends more than one camp in Ellenville.
  • Medical forms and insurance card copies must be submitted no later than 15 days prior to the beginning of the camp.
  • For each camp, each camper must have submitted 2 copies of the registration form for each camp attending, 2 copies (front and back) of insurance card for each camp attending, and 2 copies of Medical forms for each camp attending. For each copy that Administratsia must make, $1 will be charged, per page.
  • With each application for being a Vporyadnyk at a camp, 2 copies of the application, 2 copies of the Medical forms, and 2 copies of the insurance card (front and back) must be submitted.


Vyshkilnyj Camp
June 27 to July 10
This is a counselor-in-training camp for our oldest youth and our future leaders. Participants should be proficient in Ukrainian, since all training is conducted in that language. Graduates of Vyshkil often stay on to work as junior counselors at other CYM camps.

Ages: Must have completed 9th grade.

members: $625 if paid in full by June 1st     after June 2nd: $715
non-members: $925


Starsho-unatskyj
July 11 to July 31
If you thought Vidpochynkovyj was only for younger kids, you're in for a big surprise! We've put together a fun-filled recreational program designed specifically for older boys and girls, ages 12 and up. Bring your friends, or meet new ones!

Ages: Ages 13 through 17.

members: $300 if paid in full by June 1st     after June 2nd: $350
non-members: $420


Vidpochynkovyj for Starshe and Molodshe Yunatstvo
July 18 to July 31
At this recreational sleep-away camp, kids will experience a variety of exciting activities and projects. There's a surprise around every corner, and new friends to be made from all over. Your children will sleep at the new camp dormitories and are supervised around-the-clock.

Ages: Must have completed 1st grade.

members: $550 if paid in full by June 1st     after June 2nd: $630
non-members: $830


Perekhodovyj Camp
July 18 to July 24
Perekhodovyj is a transition between Sumenyata day camp and Vidpochynkovyj sleep-away camp. Parents still spend the week on-site at oselia, but kids transition to sleeping at the camp around the middle of the week. After the fun-filled week, you have the option of having your child join the second week of Vidpochynkovyj with their peers.

Ages: Completed Kindergarten or 1st grade in 2010. Cannot be repeated.

members: $275 if paid in full by June 1st     after June 2nd: $320
non-members: $420


Husenyata Camp
July 18 to July 24 and July 25 to July 31
A day camp for two- to four-year-olds. Your little one will play and learn alongside other toddlers, in a Ukrainian language environment. This is a two-week camp, but feel free to come for just a single week if you prefer. If your child is delighted, stay for a second week! Lunch for the participant and one parent is included.

Ages: Children ages 2 to 4

if paid in full by June 1st:   $200 (1 week)  or  $380 (2 weeks)
after June 2nd:   $250 (1 week)  or  $440 (2 weeks)


Sumenyata Camp
July 18 to July 24 and July 25 to July 31
This camp is a fun experience for your preschooler! Meet new friends and participate in exciting adventures. This is a day camp - lots of activities during the day (lunch for the campers included), then spend the evening and night with mom or dad. This is a two-week camp, but feel free to enroll for only a week if you wish.

Ages: Children whose date of birth is between 1/1/2004 and 8/1/2006.

if paid in full by June 1st:   $220 (1 week)  or  $390 (2 weeks)
after June 2nd:   $250 (1 week)  or  $440 (2 weeks)


Sports Camp
August 1 to August 14
Sports enthusiasts will love this summer camp. Fresh air, exercise and plenty of outdoor activities all around our expansive resort is what you should expect. Children choose what sports they'll participate in - tennis, soccer, volleyball, softball, track and field, swimming and more!

Ages: Completed 4th grade, or 10 years old upon arrival.

members: $660 if paid in full by June 1st     after June 2nd: $710
non-members: $910


Kultura and Mystetstvo Camp
August 15 to August 28
A two-week experience of Ukrainian arts. Children choose the subjects that interest them most - folk dancing, painting, embroidery, wood carving, pysanky, gerdany, Ukrainian song and much more!

Ages: Completed 2nd grade, or 8 years old upon arrival.

members: $600 if paid in full by June 1st     after June 2nd: $650
non-members: $850

Don't forget to pack everything your child will need...

Health History and Examination Form
This form must be signed by your child's physician, and received at Oselia no later than 15 days before the first day of camp.

Camp Registration Form
Camp Registration Form (Vyshkil)
You'll need one per child. Mark off all the camps your child will be attending and send in with full payment by June 1st to receive the best pricing, or with a $100 deposit to hold your child's place in camp.

Komanda Member (Senior Counselor) Application Form
Apply to be a Komanda member (e.g. Bunchuzhnyj, Oboznyj, Pysar). Attach two copies of all relevant certifications.

Vporiadnyk (Junior Counselor) Application Form
Apply to be a camp junior counselor (vporiadnyk). Attach two copies of all relevant certifications.
